Justice Retrievers is a small family owned kennel dedicated to performance sports and the working retriever, specifically Labradors. Justice Retrievers was the dream of Susan Bledsoe for years, prior to its fruition in 2000 with the purchase of Susan’s first Labrador, Southland’s Call for Justice, JH. Prior to that, Susan was active in performance sports including AKC tracking, obedience, agility trials and field work with cocker spaniels. Our Labrador retrievers are proven performers and are campaigned in AKC Field Trials and Hunt Tests and UKC Hunt Tests.

You may notice that many of our dogs have legal names, because of Susan’s occupation and love of the law. Justice is supposed to be about balance, and like justice, our labs have balance. They are all house dogs and companions who sleep on the bed or couch, as well as being credible and awesome performance dogs in the field. All of our dogs have passed numerous health clearances including OFA Hips & Elbows, CERF (eye), CNM (Labrador Centronuclear Myopathy) and EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse). Our goal is to produce healthy and sound Labradors that have great temperaments, are trainable and have retained their natural hunting instincts. This is the type of dog that can be part of your family or your teammate in performance sports for years to come.
